Camera Repair Frequently Asked Questions

We operate a single main camera repair service centre and provide nationwide coverage through insured courier collection and delivery. While we are not a local high street repair shop in every town, customers across the country can access professional camera repairs via secure collection from home or convenient drop-off at authorised parcel locations, including Post Offices. Below you will find answers to the most common questions regarding collection, turnaround times, pricing and insurance engineer reports.

Are you a local repair shop?

No. We operate from several main service centres. We are not a walk-in high street shop in every town, however we offer nationwide collection and delivery options so customers across the country can access professional camera repairs.

How does collection and delivery work?

We arrange secure courier collection from your address or you can drop your parcel at a local courier drop-off point. This includes Post Office locations and other approved parcel points. Once your camera arrives at our service centre it is booked in for inspection.

Is my camera insured during transport?

Yes. All courier collections and return deliveries are fully insured while in transit. We use tracked courier services so you can monitor the shipment. Insurance cover applies during the transport period with the courier.

Can I drop my camera off locally?

You can drop your parcel at an authorised courier drop-off location, including Post Offices and approved parcel shops. We do not operate multiple physical repair branches; all repairs are carried out at our central service facility.

How long do repairs take?

Most repairs are completed within approximately five working days to one week. However, turnaround time can vary depending on parts availability, supplier lead times or the complexity of the issue.

What if the fault is intermittent?

Intermittent faults can take longer to diagnose. If a problem does not consistently present during testing, additional inspection time may be required to accurately identify the cause before repair work proceeds.

How much will my repair cost?

Repair costs depend on the specific fault and the price of any parts required. After inspection, we provide a quotation outlining the issue identified and the cost of repair. No repair work is carried out without your approval.

Do you provide insurance engineer reports?

Yes. We can supply written engineer reports for insurance claims. These reports outline the condition of the equipment and the findings of our inspection.

Is there a charge for an insurance report?

Yes. Engineer reports are chargeable. The report fee must be paid by the customer directly and is not billed to the insurance company. Please contact us for current report pricing.

Will the report fee be deducted from the repair cost?

This depends on the circumstances. Please contact us before proceeding so we can explain how report fees are handled in your specific case.

What happens if parts are unavailable?

If required parts are discontinued or unavailable from suppliers, we will inform you. In some cases extended sourcing time may be needed, or repair may not be economically viable.

How do I start the repair process?

Complete the contact form on our website with details of your camera and the issue you are experiencing. We will then provide instructions for courier collection or drop-off.
