i have a nikon coolpix s9900, which very briefly (in it`s case) fell into sea water three months ago. the camera continued to function for a few minutes but soon failed. I have tried a new battery and, though the camera shows a flickering vague snap shot screen, after a few seconds I obtain the message this card cannot be read. I obtained the same message with a replacement card. the original card can be clearly read and downloaded to a laptop.would it be advisable to buy a new camera or is there a possibility the operation of the camera can be restored? if so, what is the estimated cost?thank you allan selby
