serrated focusing ring has detached itself. cant see how it re attraches unless its glued on which sounds bizarre. maybe something is missing. judging by flimsy nature of this component I imagine its a common problem with f series.btw im at new galloway.


just returned from travelling in south africa. when I now turn the camera on the lens doesnt pop out fully and I can hear a whining noise inside the camera. it then fails to focus and a system error message comes on the screen saying system error focus. it then turns itself off but the lens then fails to retract. the only way to get it back in is to turn the camera on in picture viewing mode and then the lens will return ok.i think maybe sand or water has got inside the camera can you help and quote to fix please.thanks.

a short while my canon eos 600d was dropped. everything works fine except that the flash on the top does not open automatically.when a photo requires the flash the camera tries to release the flash but it will not pop up on its own. with just a little help the flash will pop up and works fine.we are off on holiday on the 28th october and would really like the repair done for that date.if you could let us know a rough guide to the cost and if it can be done by our holiday date that would be brilliant.many thanksnick
